Hello avid readers,
Going to the gym with my Dad tonight got me thinking about Father’s Day. Once a year we have this holiday that celebrates everything that is Dad. I’m really thankful to have a father like mine even though I don’t tell him that nearly enough. My Dad and I are very similar people in many respects: We are both picky about our likes and dislikes; We both ponder about very abstract concepts and there’s no denying that I got my sense of humor from him. (My Mom would say that is true for better or for worse!)
What kind of gift do you get for a Dad who means the world to you? There are material items like t-shirts, coffee mugs or a free meal that help show gratitude but they mean nothing if you don’t have any feeling behind them. No matter what kind of gift you get your Dad, it should be something that you know he will appreciate because you bought it for him out of love.
Fathers and sons have an unspoken bond. Unlike Moms where it’s common to speak your feelings; when it comes to Dads there is more of an understanding of feeling through action rather than speech. Here are some Father’s Day gift ideas to consider. Whatever you get, I know that he will appreciate the gesture.
Remember that Father’s Day is only a month away so start thinking about what you are going to give your old man for his special day.
My name is Matt and I write.
